What we collect

When you send the quote form we collect the name, phone number, email address and message you type, any tank photos you attach, and which page you sent the form from.

Our hosting provider also records standard technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. That data is used to run and secure the site.

Why we collect it

Only to answer your enquiry: to price the job, ask follow up questions, book the work and keep a record of what was quoted.

We do not sell your information, and we do not add you to a marketing list from the quote form.

Photos you send

Tank photos are stored with your enquiry and used to quote and plan the job. If we ever want to use one publicly, for example in the gallery on this site, we will ask you first.

Who else can see it

We use a small number of service providers to run the site, and your information passes through them:

• Convex, which stores the enquiry and the photos
• Resend, which delivers the notification email to our office
• Our website host, which serves the pages

We may also disclose information where the law requires it. Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia.

Analytics and cookies

This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. If site analytics are enabled we use a privacy focused tool that counts page views in aggregate and does not build a profile of you.

How long we keep it

We keep quote requests for as long as we may need them for the job, our records and our tax and warranty obligations. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.

Access, correction and complaints

Email sales@watanks.com.au to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. We will respond within a reasonable time.

If you are not happy with how we handle your information you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
