IS YOUR TANK LOSING WATER?
A water tank that loses level between rains almost always has a torn liner, a failed wall to base seal or a rusted roof. Each one shows a warning sign first. Check the five below, then book an inspection before the next fill.
Water level dropping between rains
A torn or ageing liner is the usual culprit, often behind tree-root intrusion or termite damage.
Damp ground or a seep line at the base
Concrete tanks lose their seal at the wall-to-base junction first. A new liner is what fixes it. Geo-textile matting goes in behind the liner to protect it.
Rust bloom or sagging on the roof
Steel roofs fail from the inside out, and a liner left leaking rusts the wall panels as well. Left alone, the structure follows the sheeting.
Bands bowing or the wall bulging
A wall that is bulging is no longer being held. Not every tank needs bands, and where they are needed we install new ones rather than re-tension old steel.
Sediment, algae or an off taste
Once the liner is compromised, contamination follows the leak in both directions.

Steel Liner Repairs

Method
HOW A REPAIR RUNS
Every WA Tanks repair follows the same four steps: scope the tank by phone or photos, inspect the tank on site when needed, fabricate and fit the liner or parts, then clean up. You get a firm written price before step three, so the invoice holds no surprises.
The four steps hold for concrete tank liners and steel tank liners, but the tanks are not lined the same way: concrete gets geo-textile matting to the wall and base, steel gets the liner laid over a screeded base and up the walls. Roof and shell work runs beside it, so tank roof repairs and tank bands are done while the tank is already down. If the shell is past saving we price new water tanks and tank removal on the one quote.

Site inspection
When a site visit is needed, we measure on site, check the base and roof, and confirm exactly what needs doing before anything is ordered.
Fabricate & fit
Your liner is custom made to the correct size for the tank, then fitted by our crew. Concrete tanks are backed with geo-textile matting. Steel tanks are lined straight over a screeded base.
Clean up & invoice
We clean up the site and you get the invoice. The tank is filled after we leave.

For a liner replacement, yes. The tank comes down to empty so the wall and base can be checked, matted and re-lined. We can help plan the drawdown around your usage.
Tree roots through the base, termite damage behind the wall, UV on exposed edges and movement in the shell. We remove the cause before the new liner goes in, otherwise it happens again.
Yes. We're an authorised agent for Kingspan water tanks, including Rhino and Heritage, and for Coerco poly tanks, and we'll size the tank to your site, catchment and outlet layout rather than upselling capacity you won't use.
We dismantle it properly and dispose of the material responsibly. Site is left clean and level, ready for a replacement tank or another use.

Workmanship is warranted, and liner materials carry the manufacturer's warranty. Both are written on the quote before you accept, not after.
